Architecture and design play a central role in the planning of future renewable energy facilities and green business development. To support this transition, Schønherr has contributed to the development of a dialogue tool that promotes sustainable enterprises in Norway through cross-disciplinary co-creation and site-specific planning.
The tool is based on the concept of value creation and consists of a report and a visual dialogue model that help stakeholders identify dilemmas, explore opportunities, and formulate common objectives. It has been developed as a prototype under the Schønherr Method – inspired by the EU’s New European Bauhaus initiative, where sustainability, beauty, and community are guiding values for society’s green transition.
Through cross-sector workshops, the tool has been tested with actors from business, tourism, municipalities, and civil society – often with opposing interests. Experience shows that the dialogue tool strengthens trust, reduces conflicts, and accelerates integrated solutions at local level.
It is a concrete instrument for realising the vision of a green industry that unites climate responsibility, export potential, and sustainable jobs – while also embracing beauty as a driving force for identity, sense of belonging, and long-term resilience.
